Sailor Moon Memorial Tribute live concert recap!

I was unable to attend to this event personally, so all the pics and info you will find here come from various outside sources. But still, great stuff guys!

Last night a bunch of hardcore Moonies in Tokyo got a wonderful treat: About 1000 fans were able to score a hard-to-get ticket to the "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon The 20th Anniversary Memorial Tribute supported by SHIDAX with LIVE DAM" concert (yes that's the whole name) that had been announced roughly a month ago along with the launch of the Memorial Tribute CD.

This concert is part of the fabulous parade that the 20th Anniversary has brought upon us. From dishes to gashapon, from plushies to jewelry, from manga re-prints to stationery, from Figuarts to lingerie and from bento boxes to make-up, this entire year has been nothing but a non-stop bombardment of freakishly adorable anniversary goodness and a whole lot of pre-order madness!

An anniversary concert is something we weren't exactly expecting but is nevertheless very welcome! Unfortunately for fans outside of Tokyo and overseas, this event was not streamed online as previous live events have been, but it is scheduled to air on MTV Japan on March 29th, 2014. Hopefully we all get to see it so don't forget to mark your calendars!

The concert was held at the ZEPP TOKYO, a small concert hall in central Tokyo. Even though there were 10 different artists featured in the tribute CD, only four of the singers participated in the live event, but they TOTALLY ROCKED THE HOUSE. Momoiro Clover Z, Mitsuko Horie (voice actress for Sailor Galaxia), Shoko Nakagawa (Shokotan) and Haruka Fukuhara all interpreted their respective Sailor Moon theme and a few other anime related songs for the horsed of eager fans who shook their light pens and danced along to be wonderful music! The place was FULL and Moonie spirits soared!

Here are some backstage pics courtesy of Shokotan's twitter updates!

Of course, as in any concert or musical, there were goodies and souvenirs to made exclusively for this event! The official Sailor Moon website posted pics of the items for sale just a few days before the actual concert. For those of us who weren't able to make it to the concert, they will be selling these goodies for a limited time on Premium Bandai. If you really want to get a hold of any of these, your best bet is to use a proxy service (like Shopping Mall Japan) who will order them for you.

And here are a few pics take by some very lucky fans who attended the concert! AAAAHhhhh It looks like so much fun, I would've loved to be there cheering on with all of these happy Moonies! n.n!!

Pics of the concert from KillmeNeko 's Twitter! And she MAY or MAY NOT have a few leaked videos of the concert. Just sayin' that Tuxedo Mirage and Sailor Stars song are cool songs. XD!

And more wondeful gets from Yochisuke 's twitter feed as well!

Overall I think this was a great thing to do for the fans, Sailor Moon's 20 Anniversary is at it's peak now and we are all enjoying the ride thus far! So many more events, announcements, merch and toys are still to come, so be prepared Moonies, it's going to get even better!
