Sailor Myu is coming back in September!

I hope you're sitting down and ready for this one because it's pretty exciting! (If you're a fan of ALL versions of Sailor Moon, that is). Osabu took to Twitter to give an important announcement to fans:

SAILOR MOON MUSICAL IS SET TO RETURN
TO STAGES IN JAPAN THIS SEPTEMBER!

Osabu spent a good hour on Twitter giving a few details about this new production, like the fact that they have already gone through all the audition process and that Naoko was present for it, she is of course involved in the play. They have already chosen all the parts of the lead senshi as well as the rest of the cast. The performances will take place at the AiiA Theater in Shibuya (Tokyo). Dates run from September 13th through the 23rd, with one or two plays per day.

Unfortunately this play is only going to debut in Tokyo for now, if it's successful, it might be taken on tour around the country, but there is no news of it traveling overseas just yet. Ticket reservations begin June 3rd and they will be officially out for sale in July.

Here is a pic rolling around Twitter with some of the actresses that might play the roles. They seem pretty legit, but we will have to wait a few more hours until we have more information, so we can know for sure if these gals are our brave senshi. To me they all look gorgeous already! And yes, this time Tuxedo Mask will be played by a woman. I really don't mind much, it's only a limited run musical and I'm sure she'll be able to pull it off. This woman was given the green light by Naoko, so I'm good with her too :D!

The list of the actresses is as follows:

Sailor Moon/ Usagi Tsukino: Satomi Okubo
Sailor Mars/ Rei Hino: Kanon Nanaki
Sailor Jupiter/ Makoto Kino: Takahashi Yuu
Sailor Venus/ Minako Aino: Sakada Shiori
Tuxedo Mask/ Mamoru Chiba: YugaYamato

This is very exciting news for those who enjoyed the previous versions of the musicals and look forward to new music or a new anniversary DVD release. Expect more news about this production and possible future merch soon!
